Application of Graphene Electrothermal Film Heating and Energy-Saving Technology in Facility Agriculture
Graphene electrothermal films, with their high electrothermal conversion efficiency, uniform heat generation, and corrosion resistance, are becoming an innovative solution for winter heating in facility agriculture. In the field of protected cultivation, Jiangsu Vocational College of Agriculture and Forestry, in collaboration with graphene material R&D and manufacturing enterprises, has carried out the construction of precise temperature-controlled demonstration bases for multi-scenario facility planting and breeding, integrating graphene electrothermal-photothermal systems to significantly reduce winter heating costs. For high-value crops such as strawberries and tomatoes, graphene electrothermal films are laid beneath cultivation troughs or coconut coir slabs to achieve precise temperature control. The yield per plant of cherry tomatoes increased by 18.73% compared with the control group, and electricity costs dropped substantially. In the field of facility breeding, after five consecutive months of power-on testing, graphene heating plates for piglets showed a power attenuation rate of only 0.57%, with electricity consumption per unit area 30.19% lower than that of traditional electric heating wire plates, and the weight gain effect of piglets was significantly improved. Research indicates that graphene heating, as an entirely new heating method, has broad application prospects in industries such as vegetable greenhouses, flower cultivation, agricultural and forestry seedling raising, soil insulation, chick hatching, and special aquaculture.
