We will provide an overview on the exploitation of 2D crystals in the field of hydrogen production and transportation.
We will start the presentation with an overview on our industrial, scalable, reliable, and inexpensive production of 2D materials, [1-3] balancing the ease of fabrication and the final product quality. We will demonstrate the efficiency of the manufacturing of high-quality 2D crystals by wet-jet milling[2] and, in particular, the path towards industrial production of 2D hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN).[3,4]
Then, we will show our results on the formulation of h-BN pastes and the coating of different substrates for applications ranging from non-permeable pipe and connection systems for hydrogen transportation to industrial coating for marine application.[4,5] We will show how the production of 2D crystals by means of wet-jet milling[2] is a powerful pathway towards the development of 2D crystals-based devices,[6-12] offering massive integration flexibility compared to other production methodologies.
