Solution processed two-dimensional crystals for photovoltaics(主题会场:石墨烯在太阳能电池领域的应用)
Graphene and related two dimensional (2d) crystals, derived from layered bulk crystals,1 because of their superior and often complementary materials properties, have the opportunity to enable the development of new products.2 In particular, the assembly of such 2d crystals in vertical heterostructures will provide a rich toolset for the creation of new, customized materials, with on-demand tunable (opto)electronic properties.1,2 New materials and processes1 can boost the performance of existing devices or enable new ones,2,3,4,5 with the added value of being also environmentally benign. In this framework, graphene and other 2d crystals are emerging as promising materials.1-5 A key requirement for applications such as flexible electronics and energy conversion and storage is the development of industrial-scale, reliable, inexpensive production processes,1 while providing a balance between ease of fabrication and final material quality with on-demand properties. Solution-processing1,6 offers a simple and cost-effective pathway to fabricate various 2d crystal-based photovoltaic devices, presenting huge integration flexibility compared to conventional methods. Here I will present an overview of graphene and other 2d crystals for flexible and printed photovoltaic, starting from solution processing of the raw bulk materials, 1,4,6,7 the fabrication of large area electrodes3,8 and their integration in the final devices.8-14
